Bank–Member dues were summarized. $797.52 in Bank, Petty Cash - $2.00, Electric Fund - $50.00 Total - $859.59

1. Paid phone bill

2. Electric installation expenses this month: about $780 to First Energy to install the meter and connect to our side, $1,181 to Larry for various wire, cable, connectors, etc and $300 to the electrician who helped us install the line on July 15. Total cost to install phase 1 was about $2,300. This does not include Marty's out of pocket expense for the trencher.

3. Paid $153 for quarterly insurance.

4. Land balance is $5,700

Observatory Director:

From last month, the 12 inch Meade communication module is not working. Marty continues to check out the problem.

Electric installation work session:

- July 14. Marty and son dug a trench to bury the electric cable.

- July 15. Cable buried in trench,
meter installed and wiring completed to north observatory. A few trees taken down on the east boundary and just south of the north observatory.

- .Marty created a larger path to drive up the hill and cleared out a parking area next to the shed. Landscape carpet was placed on the parking spot. We'll need to buy and dump gravel on the spot.

- Marty dumped 10 tons of gravel on the electric trench and the expanded drive up the hill.

- Steve Kainec bought a first aid kit. It has more stuff than the kit on the hill (which is over 10 years old).

Director of Observations:

Bobs report was handed out. For Bob's complete observation report, please visit the Monthly Sky Calendar on our website. He talked with State Farm about replacing our current $594 annual insurance expense. Potential to reduce it to $390.
